An analysis of 1,339 open federal grant opportunities on Grants.gov, broken down by the agencies posting them.
As of 2026-06-23, Grants.gov listed 1,339 open federal grant opportunities. This report analyzes a sample of 1000 of the most recent postings to show which agencies are putting the most funding opportunities on the street.

- National Institutes of Health — 397 open opportunities in the sample
- U.S. National Science Foundation — 166 open opportunities in the sample
- Health Resources and Services Administration — 26 open opportunities in the sample
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - ERA — 24 open opportunities in the sample
- National Park Service — 19 open opportunities in the sample

Within the sample, 237 opportunities close within 30 days, 323 within 60 days, and 360 within 90 days.
Methodology
